Asklepios Klinik St. Georg in Hamburg has over 5 years of experience in structural heart interventions and has performed more than 100 procedures since 2009 at their 2 hybrid cathlabs. The German Heart Center has been founded in 1974 as the first, highly specialized German centre for the treatment of all cardiac and cardiovascular diseases – from the newborn baby to the elderly patient. The cardiac specialists of the German Heart Center in Munich have a long tradition in pioneering and establishing new medical and interventional strategies to combat those diseases. Since 2009 the cardiologic structural heart team (Dres. Hausleiter, Massberg, Pache and Mehilli) has performed a variety of interventional procedures.

Performing more than 4,300 procedures each year in its cardiac catheter laboratory, the Heart Center Brandenburg is one of Germany´s leading healthcare facilities. With twenty years of experience, patients from the Berlin metropolitan area and from all other regions of Germany, as well as from many foreign countries, can rely upon its expertise in medical and custodial care. Bernau was one of the first centers in Europe that started in 2009 with the Mitral Valve Repair Therapy. Treatment and follow-up have been completed in more than 100 patients with this new method.

The hospital is known to be one of the driving forces for interventional innovated treatments in Europe and participates in several clinical studies. The MitraClip therapy is one of the important topics in focus for cardiovascular research in the Heart Center. The lead implanting physician is Dr Olaf Franzen.

San Raffaele has over 20 years of experience in structural heart interventions and has performed 75 Mitral Valve Repair procedures since 2008. The implanting team includes cardiac surgeons, echocardiographers and interventional cardiologists and all have participated in multiple clinical trials for the evaluation of novel devices for structural heart treatment.

St. Antonius Hospital has over 2 years of experience in structural heart interventions including 80 Mitral Valve Repair procedures since 2009. The implanting team includes cardiac surgeons (Dr. A. Yilmaz, Dr. T. deKroon), echocardiographers (Dr. M. Post, Dr. W. Jaarsma and Dr. M. Swaans) and interventional cardiologists (Dr. J. Van der Heyden, Dr. B. Rensing, Dr. F. Eefting).
